Alaska 2006 - August 29th - September 10th
This year we split our trip into three parts: 4 days in Willow, about 2hrs north of Anchorage, a 1/2 day in Anchorage to see the 2006 ISKF US National Tournament and then 6 days in Cooper Landing in the middle of the Kenai Peninsula. This year was cooler than last, with temps ranging from the mid 30s to the high 50s and only a couple days of rain. As you will see, except for 2 "just OK" days, the fishing was exceptional.
