Wine Tasting and Sonnenberg - Oct 2007

This year we combined our annual salmon trip to Oswego with a jaunt thru NY State’s Finger Lakes Wine country. We stayed on the west side of Lake Canandaigua and visited a couple wineries: Dr. Konstantin Frank on Keuka and Damiani on Seneca. Such a beautiful area. On our way to Oswego we spent a couple of hours at Sonnenberg Gardens. Situated in the town of Canandaigua, Sonnenberg was built in 1885 as a summer home by Frederick & Mary Clark Thompson and is still in the process of being restored. You can tour both the Gardens and the mansion.
